Instructions

Recent revelations from insider sources provide an updated outlook for Ubisoft's flagship Assassin's Creed franchise, hinting at its trajectory for the coming years. While two previously unknown Assassin's Creed titles have surfaced, information also suggests that the production of Assassin's Creed Hexe is progressing at a slower pace than initially anticipated.

On November 6, Ubisoft insider j0nathan unveiled details about two upcoming Assassin's Creed games in a YouTube video. One project, codenamed 'Mars,' is believed to be a traditional entry set in Ancient Rome, a setting that will also feature in the series' forthcoming Netflix adaptation. The second title, 'Assassin's Creed Pocket,' is described as a mobile game inspired by Valhalla's Mastery Challenges and will take place in Jerusalem. Following these initial leaks, Insider Gaming corroborated the existence of similarly codenamed projects, although they refrained from reporting on them until further verification. Subsequently, Insider Gaming confirmed new details regarding Assassin's Creed Hexe, indicating that its release, originally slated for 2027, has been internally postponed to 2028. Ubisoft first hinted at Assassin's Creed Hexe in 2022, envisioning a game with a more mystical tone set in the 17th-century Holy Roman Empire. Despite promises from Ubisoft to share more information next year, concrete gameplay footage or details have yet to emerge. Insider Gaming reports that Hexe's development has encountered obstacles, including the departure of several key developers. As a result of these challenges, Hexe is now not expected until 2028, pushing the potential release or even a formal announcement for 'Mars' to 2029 or 2030 at the earliest. In the interim, fans can revisit existing titles such as Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

The evolving landscape of the Assassin's Creed series demonstrates the intricate balance between innovation and development challenges within the gaming industry. As fans eagerly await these new installments, the commitment to expanding the series' narrative and technological horizons remains clear, promising continued engagement and rich storytelling for years to come. The resilience shown in navigating production hurdles underscores a dedication to delivering quality experiences, inviting players to anticipate the future chapters of this esteemed franchise with enthusiasm.
